Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek —Modernizing cultural heritage

A wider audience
Founded by brewing magnate Carl Jacobsen, the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is a museum dedicated to ancient Mediterranean culture and 19th-century Danish and French art. Jacobsen aimed to enrich his fellow citizens with international art.

Steadfast in his belief in art’s educational value, Jacobsen intended for each piece to resonate with visitors individually. Today, the museum continues this mission, striving to create personal meaning for every visitor.
However, the challenge lies in reaching a broader audience.

New standards for communication
LOOP Associates helped Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek modernise its entire visual expression and all communication. We designed a new website, setting new standards for digital museum communications. Further, LOOP Associates continuously develops the designs surrounding all exhibitions, including programmes, posters, ad-concepts, and online marketing.

Visitor record
LOOP Associates has fostered a long-standing relationship with Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, expanding the museum’s audience across various platforms. Following the new website launch, both online and offline visits surged significantly.
Our designs contributed to a historic milestone, with museum visits surpassing 400,000 in 2012, the highest in 114 years.
